There’s something special about watching a handmade shop grow one stitch, one idea, and one finished piece at a time. Here at Knot and Coil Collective, that’s exactly what’s happening. As I settle into my cozy corner here in North Dakota, I’m adding new products to the shop as quickly as I can get them made—each one crafted by my own hands with care, intention, and a whole lot of heart.
This week brought a fun update: I’ve added a brand‑new category just for lapghans. These smaller throws are a favorite among seniors for their warmth, softness, and easy‑to‑handle size. They’re also wonderfully practical—perfect for wheelchair use or for keeping warm in the bleachers at a chilly sporting event.
The first lapghan in this new category is already posted, and it’s something a little special. I’ve listed it as a PRE‑SALE, because I just began making it and wanted to give someone the chance to claim it before it’s even finished. Sometimes a piece speaks to someone right away, and I love offering that opportunity to “own it before it hits the market.” If that sounds like your kind of cozy, you’ll find it waiting for you in the shop.
And there’s more coming. Soon, I’ll be expanding beyond blankets and shawls and adding dog leads and collars made with biothane. They’re strong, weather‑resistant, easy to clean, and perfect for pups who love adventure—or just a good walk around the block. I’m excited to bring these into the shop and offer something special for the four‑legged friends who bring so much joy into our lives.
Every single item in my store is North Dakota handmade by me, created slowly, thoughtfully, and with the hope that it brings comfort to whoever brings it home.
Thank you for being here, for supporting handmade work, and for following along as Knot and Coil Collective continues to grow. More cozy creations are on the way.
